Powerful writing and precise editing for customers worldwide
About us
Dragonfly is your outsourced content partner, helping you with writing, editing, design, and content strategy. We’re an extension of your team, easing your workload and reducing your stress. We create clear, compelling content that meets your business needs and helps you shine. Our clients include financial services firms like PwC, Fiserv, and Intuit; international development organizations like UN Women, Venture37, and Panagora Group; and consulting groups like Kroll and RESPEC. Read case studies about the companies we work with on our website. We help customers create all types of collateral: white papers, data sheets, case studies, web content, blog posts, social content. And we take on large editing projects with tight turnarounds — like editing a 2,000-page environmental impact statement in two weeks. We do this all in a spirit of good cheer and kindness. Ultimately, we have one goal: take stress off your shoulders and help you succeed in your mission.

Thank you for the shoutout, Lindsey Jones-Renaud! We love supporting our clients who work in #internationaldevelopment, #sustainableagriculture, and #foodsecurity.
I am still processing my experience at the SID-US conference last week. Here are a few things that I loved learning and seeing at the conference. 1. Learning about this tip sheet - 7 Steps for Writing for Readability - from the editing company Dragonfly Editorial. There were three others that they also had available which I am happy to have readily available in my office. So very useful! One of these tips I particularly like is the point about each section being labeled with an informational subhead. This is so so important. Also, I've seen requests lately for folks looking for trainings on report writing. I hope Dragonfly will be offering these courses one day soon in the future. 2. Watching and listening to Emily Springer, PhD speak about managing AI and tech policy risk to drive equity in access. One of my big takeaways was how development orgs and NGOs need to be developing their own internal policies about how they will use AI, how they will manage and mitigate bias, and other important governance structures that tech companies and government agencies are working on doing for themselves. I'm editing a video with some clips of Dr. Springer's talk to share as promo for her upcoming course about Feminist and Ethical AI for social impact on Cynara Gender Training Platform (details: cynara.co/ethicalai). Video coming soon!

#ACES2024 may have been the best yet! From generative AI and its role in editing and writing, to issues of plagiarism and copyright, to conscious language and sensitivity reading, to style guides and project management, to the newest entries in the Associated Press Stylebook and the The Chicago Manual of Style Online, to Merriam-Webster Inc.’s big reveal as the new dictionary for AP — this conference had it all. Kudos to the staff and board of ACES: The Society for Editing for a job well done!
